Hi from Investigate Midwest!
Earlier this year, we announced we had expanded into Iowa, one of the most important — if not the most important — agricultural states in the country. We joined forces with IowaWatch, and we've hired a talented, dedicated reporter to investigate the agriculture industry and its interests.
Throughout the Midwest and the country, we've focused on bringing readers smart, thoroughly reported stories on the agriculture industry's influence, its workforce and its impact on the environment.
We've covered what workers endure at meatpacking plants, how climate change affects fertilizer runoff and shone light on a financial maneuver by one of the most powerful institutions in Iowa.
