Why you can trust Investigate Midwest

Dear friends of Investigate Midwest:

There are only a few days left in this year’s NewsMatch campaign, and we are so close to meeting our goal of $15,000 in matching support.

We are part of the NewsMatch program, which is operated by the Knight Foundation to support nonprofit news (like us!). Every individual gift (up to $1,000) is doubled up to $15,000. So $10 becomes $20. Also, monthly recurring donations declared through Dec. 31 are doubled for the whole year, so a $10 monthly donation ($120 for the year) becomes $240.

We are 98% of the way to that $15,000 match. We need your help to get across the finish line by midnight on New Year’s Eve.

As an independent news organization, we don't have shareholders. We have the freedom to pursue accountability-driven, investigative journalism that speaks truth to power in agribusiness and policymaking — without being beholden to private profits or corporate ownership.

It also means that we rely on you to support this important work. Will you support us?

With gratitude,

Mary Ungs-Sogaard

P.S. There’s still time! Please help us spread the word by forwarding this email to friends and colleagues who you think would be interested in supporting our work.
