We made it — thanks to YOU!

Your generosity helped us reach our goal of $2K in one day!

Why you can trust Investigate Midwest

Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, morning update on Giving Tuesday

Dear friends of Investigate Midwest,

We! Made! It!

As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, we met our goal to raise $2,000 in one day. In fact, your generosity pushed that number to $2,515.99. This will be doubled and tripled (more below on that).

  • Your support of our work — holding accountable industrial agriculture entities for the negative impacts they have — helps fuel our nonprofit, independent newsroom.
  • Your dollars support our ability to pay for public records requests; travel for reporters to interview people directly affected by pesticide use, groundwater issues and labor abuses; and resources to analyze data that deepens our investigative reporting — just to name a few essentials.

If you get this message and it's past #GivingNewsDay, don't worry: Your donation still can be doubled – thanks to NewsMatch, a program that allows individuals who give now through Dec. 31 the chance to double their impact, up to $1,000 — and tripled through the $10,000 match from The Joyce Foundation.

Another way to take part in NewsMatch is to give on a monthly, recurring basis. NewsMatch will double the entire year's gift if you are new to giving monthly — so a $10 monthly donation becomes $240 total.

Investigate Midwest is an independent, nonprofit newsroom. Our mission is to serve the public as a watchdog over influential corporations and institutions through in-depth and data-driven investigative journalism.
