TWO DAYS until our Iowa City event; meet the storytellers
We hope to see you FRIDAY (April 12) for our spring storytelling event in Iowa City. You can order tickets ahead of time OR you can also get them at the door. Tickets are a $20 freewill donation, which includes a free drink ticket for The Graduate. (Students are asked to donate $15, which also will include a drink ticket.)
WHERE: Poindexter Coffee in the Graduate Iowa City hotel, 210 South Dubuque Street.
WHEN: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the program starting at 6 p.m.
WHAT: Stories from five Midwest journalists! There will also be food, signature cocktails, trivia, and a silent auction.
WHO: Read more about the storytellers below; Iowa Public Radio's Charity Nebbe will be the emcee.
WHY: It's fun and for a good cause (investigative reporting on agriculture). Proceeds from ticket donations benefit Investigate Midwest's IowaWatch newsroom.

RANDY EVANS is the executive director of the Iowa Freedom of Information Council. He is a former managing editor, business editor, news editor and opinion editor of the Des Moines Register. Evans will tell the tale of Norma Jean, the main attraction of a one-elephant circus.
