Tuesday, you’ll hear from Mary, our donor relations manager, about some of our ongoing coverage plans for 2024. Today, I want to tell you about stories we will start offering that you won’t find elsewhere.
- Starting in January, we are launching a new reporting position focused on agriculture policy at the state level.
Why does this matter?
Because safe, quality food that is produced ethically, sustainably and available to all is a growing concern across the country, in your state, in your own town. State-level agriculture policy plays an enormous role in an equitable food system. Yet there is a vacuum of in-depth, investigative coverage of this topic. A vacuum that we aim to fill.
- Funding to build, sustain and expand this coverage is critical to its success. You can help secure the future of it as well as all our other work.
While we are nearing our NewsMatch goal of $15,000 (the amount from individuals that will be doubled), we are challenging ourselves to raise a total of $25,000 during our year-end campaign. Won’t you help us reach that goal, and be part of supporting such important work?
