Since we began in 2009, we’ve made it our mission to provide essential news and information about the U.S. food system and everything that shapes it. In our listening sessions across our rural and urban communities, people are telling us the same thing: the system isn’t just broken — it’s hurting them.
We believe that nonprofit, independent news is a vital public service and it deserves community-wide support. Whether you’re passionate about the environment, food access and food quality, or public health issues, our fact-based reporting helps you better understand the local issues that matter most.
