Dear Friend of Investigate Midwest,
There’s a lot on the line today as Americans cast their votes, the results of which will impact us all for years to come. The stakes have never felt higher.
This Election Day serves as a powerful reminder of why all of us at Investigate Midwest come to work every day. Our nonprofit newsroom is built on the ideals of democracy.
We know readers like you rely on our unbiased and data-driven, investigative journalism — not only to help you make well-informed decisions at the polls but to keep you civically engaged year-round.
You also can count on us to deliver election analysis after all the ballots are counted. Our reporters will explore how those outcomes may affect agriculture in the Midwest and beyond.
This is crucial work, but it is not without cost. During this vitally important election year, our reporters have been tackling extra assignments and tirelessly pursuing stories that need to be told. This won’t stop any time soon.
Our end-of-year giving campaign, NewsMatch 2024, is off and running. This program doubles your individual donation, up to $1,000. Now through Dec. 31, NewsMatch also will double any new monthly donations 12 times, so a $10 monthly donation becomes a total of $240 for the year. And, the first $3,000 we raise will be matched dollar for dollar by the Rural Partner Fund.
A better-informed, more equitable nation and world start with you.
Thank you for what you give to this important cause of independent, nonprofit, accountability journalism — today or any time.
With gratitude,
Mary Ungs-Sogaard, Donor Relations Manager
P.S. Don’t forget - please help us spread the word and share this email with a friend.
P.P.S. You can meet me in person on Nov. 7 in Iowa City at our fall storytelling event, "Lost & Found" "Ticket" donations go toward NewsMatch!
