Help shape local journalism in the Chicago area

As a reminder, Investigate Midwest is participating in a reader survey focused specifically on Chicagoland media habits, as part of a research project supported by Press Forward Chicago.
If you live in the Chicagoland area or regularly follow Chicago-area news, we want to hear from you. Your responses will help researchers better understand how people use and engage with local journalism, including investigative reporting like ours.
We know Investigate Midwest serves readers across rural communities and states throughout the Midwest. This survey is intentionally limited in scope because of its funding and research goals. To better understand our broader audience, we plan to launch a separate, newsroom-led survey later this year focused on rural and non-Chicagoland readers.
The survey takes about 11 minutes to complete. As a thank you, participants can enter for a chance to win a $100 gift card.
