Let's get to the heart of the matter: Is it important to you for us to continue working:

#GivingNewsDay is going a few more hours and we need your support to continue digging into the above topics as well as these goals for 2024:
Covering Iowa's water quality with Mónica Cordero, our Report for America journalist located in Des Moines, Iowa. We need to raise money to support three-quarters of her salary, as agreed upon with the Report for America program. Her work includes these stories on climate change affecting summer farmworkers.
Reporting by our other reporters on climate, worker safety, and the overall food system. We are also raising funds to help support Sky Chadde, Ben Felder and John McCracken.
Training student and early-career journalists in investigative and data reporting. This is critical to helping grow and support our country’s newsgathering ranks for a better informed society.
