Journalism students at Buena Vista University who ordinarily report on the university’s KBVU radio took their questions about why gun violence continues in schools, and how to stop it, to several Iowans.

“I think reasonable people will take a step back from this and not say: it’s all guns and it’s all mental illness,” Storm Lake Police Chief Mark Prosser said. “It’s all of it. It’s a combination of it.”

From Dee Friesen, Sarah Nicholson and Kimberly Diaz, here is their report.
