Paloma Sanchez-McGee is our summer 2026 audience engagement intern, working closely on social media strategy, impact tracking, reader engagement and event development. Paloma is a recent graduate of University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Go Huskers!) and brings experience in newsroom audience strategy, digital publishing, photography and multimedia storytelling. She previously served as digital director at the Daily Nebraskan.
Paloma is our Dow Jones News Fund intern.
Over the summer, Paloma will help translate Investigate Midwest’s reporting into accessible and engaging content across social platforms. She'll be creating graphics and short-form explainers, assisting with impact tracking, supporting media outreach efforts and helping coordinate live public events tied to our reporting. She will also contribute to audience analysis and engagement reporting to help us better understand how readers interact with our journalism and where our reporting is having measurable impact.
