# IowaWatch Staffer Named Co-Editor Of Grinnell College Student Newspaper

IowaWatch staff reporter Stephen Gruber-Miller has been named co-editor in chief of Grinnell College’s student-run newspaper, [*The Scarlet & Black*](http://www.thesandb.com/?ref=investigatemidwest.org), for the 2014-15 school year.

Stephen Gruber-Miller

He will share those duties with Emma Sinai-Yunker. Both have served as co-news editor for the paper this school year.

Gruber-Miller, 20, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, started at IowaWatch as a summer 2013 intern. He is a junior entering his senior in fall. Studying for a degree in English, he has been accepted for a summer 2014 reporting internship at the *Toledo Blade* in Ohio.

His IowaWatch stories have included being the lead reporter and writer for a five-part collaboration in 2013 with four other Iowa newspapers called [“Iowa’s Opportunity Gap”](https://investigatemidwest.org/special-report-iowas-opportunity-gap/?ref=investigatemidwest.org).
